I don’t know about you, but I love Pinterest for getting visual inspiration when I\u00a0have\u00a0a creative block. I enjoy spending time browsing and collecting ideas, then when I want to scrapbook but don’t have any ideas in\u00a0mind, I scroll through my boards and usually a layout will jump out at me and shout “make me”!<\/p>\n

I saved this layout several months ago when I was searching for\u00a0one-page graphic layouts. It’s clean lines, lovely color combination\u00a0and pretty details caught my eye again as\u00a0I was planning to scrapbook some floral photos I took on our recent vacation.<\/p>\n

In the blog post where she shared the layout, Miriam also showed how she created a more masculine version\u00a0just\u00a0by switching up the papers.<\/p>\n

I’ve taken the liberty of also switching up papers for my own version.\u00a0I used Creative Memories\u00a0gorgeous Fresh Picks papers and embellishments<\/a> to highlight the flowers in my photos. I also added a third photo in place of Miriam’s\u00a0rectangles of decorative papers, and altered the placement of the embellishments. Here’s my take on this gorgeous layout:<\/p>\n

To make my\u00a0Creative Memories version of this layout, I\u00a0chose a subdued tone-on-tone Fresh Picks paper<\/a> for the base of the layout and then trimmed up some leftover scraps from the collection in various patterns for the banner pieces. Being a frugal scrapper, I saved the triangular\u00a0pieces that I cut away\u00a0when I made the banners, and re-used them as the pennants in the upper left hand corner. I added a small adhesive gem<\/a> onto each pennant. The gems were also added to the\u00a0lovely\u00a0butterflies which I fussy-cut from the paper with the printed 4 x 6 cards on it.\u00a0The simple one word title\u00a0was created with\u00a0Watercolor Green ABC\/123 Stickers<\/a> placed\u00a0onto another strip of decorative paper.\u00a0I also used the lovely new Lace Scallop Border Maker Cartridge<\/a>\u00a0to add a pretty detail\u00a0under the title strip. Finally, I used my\u00a0Black Dual-Tip Pen<\/a>\u00a0to journal and add some\u00a0small faux stitching details to the paper shapes to help them stand out.<\/p>\n
