A change of season is like a change of scenery \u2014 it’s an inspiring breath of fresh air that can give you a creative kickstart. Take a look at how the change of seasons inspired blog contributor Krislyn Mattei’s<\/strong> creative process and how it led her to design two innovative and crisp spring scrapbook spreads!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Krislyn\u2019s Inspiration:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I’ll admit it… I’m a little bit ready for spring! Here in Minnesota, I start longing for the warm breezes and green grass around New Year’s Day! It’s no wonder that the fresh shades and patterns of the Spring Medley collection grabbed me the instant I saw them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I created the first layout below using pictures of early spring last year \u2014 it was the kind of day in March that teases you into believing that spring has sprung! Year after year, I fall for that trick. For this layout, I used three pieces of beautiful Spring Medley paper, the new Baroque Frame Punch and, of course, the wonderful Spring Medley Fast2Fab\u2122 Refill Pages to create my layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pieces that remained after I was finished were just perfect for decorating a second layout. I added one more piece of paper and one variety mat and created a layout with pictures from the end of our short summer last year from the same part of downtown Duluth, Minn. The warm season comes and goes fast around here, but the days are simply sublime!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
