She\u2019s been creating handmade gifts and cards with scrapbooking materials since she was old enough to use a pair of scissors. I think she would approve of the handmade and altered art teacher gift ideas I\u2019m sharing with you today. All you\u2019ll need to complete the teacher gifts I created Creative Memories scrapbooking products, a few dollar store or grocery store items, and a few items you probably already have in your home. I used scrapbooking papers, stickers and embellishments from A Year to Remember collection. \u00a0I love the way it complements the end of the school year theme of today\u2019s post. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"DSC_0280.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/creativememories.com/apps/thepages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/dsc_0280.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0280.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what you\u2019ll need to create the above project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/decorative\/paper-packs.html\" target=\"_blank\">A Year to Remember Paper Pack<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/decorative\/stickers.html\" target=\"_blank\">A Year to Remember Stickers<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/decorative\/stickers.html\" target=\"_blank\">A Year to Remember Embellishments<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/decorative\/paper-packs.html\" target=\"_blank\">Yellow cardstock and White cardstock<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/trimmers.html\" target=\"_blank\">12-Inch Straight Trimmer<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/border-and-punches.html\" target=\"_blank\">Border Maker and Star Cartridge<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/border-and-punches.html\" target=\"_blank\">2 &#8211; Way Corner Rounder<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/custom-cutting-system.html\" target=\"_blank\">Custom Cutting System and Oval Patterns<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/accessories\/pens.html\" target=\"_blank\">Black Dual-tip Pen<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/accessories\/adhesives.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tape Runner<\/a><\/li>\n<li>House plant<\/li>\n<li>Container for your house plant. I used a tea tin.<\/li>\n<li>A thin wooden dowel, cut to fit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Star Teacher Gift Idea<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Measure your container and use the 12-Inch trimmer to cut pattern paper to fit. Use tape runner to adhere paper to container as shown. If need be, add a second piece to the back of the container.<\/li>\n<li>Using the Border Maker and Star Cartridge, punch a star border from a contrasting pattern paper. Trim to 1 \u00bc\u201d x 12 inches.<\/li>\n<li>Cut a 1\u201d x 12\u201d strip from yellow cardstock. Layer with the star border and adhere. Wrap layered border strip around container as shown with any open space in the front.<\/li>\n<li>Cut a 2\u201d x 3\u201d rectangle from contrasting pattern paper. Using the 2-Way Corner Rounder, round corners of rectangle.<\/li>\n<li>Using the inside track of the medium oval (#3 oval &#8211; the largest being #1) from the Custom Cutting system and the red blade, cut an oval from white cardstock.<\/li>\n<li>Use the black dual-tip pen and dot lettering to hand write Star Teacher. Draw faux stitching if desired. Layer with 2\u201d x 3\u201d rectangle and adhere to front of planter as shown.<\/li>\n<li>Use Star Cartridge without the guide to punch 3 stars from yellow cardstock. Adhere to planter as shown.<\/li>\n<li>To \u00a0create planter pick, cut a 2 \u00bd\u201d square from pattern paper and a 2\u201d square from white cardstock. Layer and adhere. Use black dual-tip pen and dot lettering to hand write greeting. Draw faux stitching around the edge.<\/li>\n<li>Punch 3 stars from yellow cardstock and adhere to square as shown. From contrasting pattern paper, cut one 1 \u00bd\u201d x 2 \u00bd\u201d rectangle and one 3 \u00bc\u201d square.<\/li>\n<li>Cut arrow off of pink tag and adhere to 1 \u00bd\u201d x 2 \u00bd\u201d rectangle. Use black dual-tip pen and dot lettering to hand write Awesome Teacher or desired sentiment and adhere to large rectangle as shown.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere 3 \u00bc\u201d square to large rectangle as shown.<\/li>\n<li>Cut the pink flower tag in half and adhere as shown.<\/li>\n<li>Slip decorated rectangle into the sleeve of the acrylic frame. Use tape runner to adhere post-it note to top of frame and over the 3 \u00bc\u201d square as shown.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Pencil Holder<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Measure your container and use 12-Inch trimmer to cut pattern paper to fit.<\/li>\n<li>Using the Border Maker and the Lace Flower Chain cartridge, punch 2 borders from contrasting paper.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere flower chain borders to pattern paper as shown. Adhere paper to container to create pencil holder.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Ghirardelli Chocolate Box<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"instructions.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/creativememories.com/apps/thepages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/instructions.jpg\" alt=\"instructions.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Use 12-Inch trimmer to cut one 2 \u00be\u201d x 6 \u00bd\u201d rectangle from cranberry cardstock and one 1 \u00be\u201d x 7 \u00bd\u201d rectangle from red pattern paper.<\/li>\n<li>Using the Custom Cutting system, the large oval pattern and the red blade, cut an oval shape flap into one end of the 2 \u00be\u201d x 6 \u00bd\u201d rectangle as shown in the first picture.<\/li>\n<li>Using a pencil, measure and mark score lines on large rectangle at 1 ?\u201d from the bottom, \u00be\u201d from the first line, 1 ?\u201d from the second line, and \u00be\u201d from the third line.<\/li>\n<li>Using a pencil, measure and mark score lines on small rectangle at \u00a01 \u00be\u201d from the right side, \u00be\u201d from the first line, 2 \u00be\u201d from the second line, and \u00be\u201d from the third line.<\/li>\n<li>Using the 12-Inch trimmer track and the Multi-Purpose Tool, score both rectangles at score lines as \u00a0shown. Fold at score lines.<\/li>\n<li>To create box, adhere small rectangle to the large rectangle as shown in pictures.<\/li>\n<li>Using the Custom cutting system, the inside track of the small circle pattern, and the green blade, cut a circle from contrasting pattern paper. Adhere bird sticker to circle.
