<\/p>\nPunch up the fun on your scrapbook page layouts with totally fun\u00a0page embellishments! First in our series of punch art ideas, Creative Team member Stefani Jones has come up with some of the cutest little\u00a0additions to your pages. Create them in any color to match your scrapbook or paper craft projects.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To create this rocket ship page embellishment, you’ll need:<\/p>\n
Step 1: Cut out the base of the rocket from blue cardstock using the 2nd-to-smallest CCS oval pattern and the red CCS blade on the outside track. Trim off about 1.5″ from the bottom using a Personal Trimmer.<\/p>\n
Step 2: Using the same pattern and red CCS blade on the outside track, cut another oval from white cardstock AND with the pattern still in place, cut the window in the middle of the oval with the green blade on the inside track. Trim off about 1.75″ from the bottom and top using a Personal Trimmer.<\/p>\n
Step 3: Using the same pattern and red CCS blade on the outside track, cut about a third of an oval from gray cardstock to be the nose of the rocket.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Punch a circle from gray cardstock, and cut it in half using the Personal Trimmer to use as fins.<\/p>\n
Step 5: Punch a film strip border from black cardstock, and use two of the large black rectangle scraps for engine\/exhaust pipes.<\/p>\n
Step 6: Punch two word bubbles from yellow cardstock as exhaust. Adhere pieces together with Tape Runner.<\/p>\n

To create this squatty owl page embellishment, you’ll need:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
Step 1: Cut out a body from plum cardstock using the smallest CCS circle pattern and the red CCS blade on the outside track. Trim away a section for the top of the head using the same pattern and red blade on the outside track. (see right)<\/p>\n
Step 2: Cut 2 wings from plum cardstock using the same pattern and red blade, overlapping your cuts to make pointy oval-like shapes. (You could use the piece cut from step 1 as a wing.)<\/p>\n
Step 3: Cut another circle from gray cardstock using the same circle pattern and red blade on the outside track. Then place the skinny part of the 2nd-to-smallest oval pattern over about half of the circle, and trim away the excess using the red blade on the outside track. This piece will be the tummy.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Cut an oval from white cardstock using the same oval pattern and green blade on the inside track. Cut this piece in half for eyes.<\/p>\n
Step 5: Punch a bubble border on black cardstock, and use two of the larger black bubble scraps for the eyes.<\/p>\n
Step 6: Punch a chevron border from yellow cardstock and use the scraps as the feet.<\/p>\n
Step 7: Hand trim a triangle beak from yellow cardstock. Adhere pieces together with Tape Runner.<\/p>\n

To create this fun cupcake page embellishment, you’ll need:<\/p>\n
Step 1: Punch 1 postage stamp from pink patterned paper. Use the Personal Trimmer to trim away parts of the postage stamp and make it into the cupcake wrapper.<\/p>\n
Step 2: Punch 1 blossom from white cardstock. Use the Personal Trimmer to cut the blossom in half.<\/p>\n
Step 3: Cut a .25″x2″ strip of patterned paper for a candle.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Hand trim a candle flame from yellow cardstock.<\/p>\n
Step 5: Adhere pieces together with Tape Runner.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Punch 4 circle tags for the body. (Save the \u201cC\u201d scraps.)<\/p>\n
Step 2: Hook each of the tags together (see right).<\/p>\n
Step 3: Cut one circle out for the head using the smallest CCS circle pattern and the red CCS blade on the inside track.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Cut all 4 C scraps in half (for legs and antennae).<\/p>\n
Step 5: Adhere pieces together with Tape Runner.<\/p>\n

Here’s another cute critter for you! To create this ladybug embellishment, you’ll need:<\/p>\n
Step 1: Punch 1 circle from black cardstock for the body.<\/p>\n
Step 2: Punch 1 circle tag from black cardstock for the head. Trim away the outside ring.<\/p>\n
Step 3: Cut the tag \u201cC\u201d scrap in half for antennae.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Punch a bubble border on red cardstock. Cut 2 half-ish circles for wings out of the red bubble paper using the medium CCS circle pattern and the red CCS blade on the inside track.<\/p>\n
Step 5: Adhere pieces together with Tape Runner.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Punch 3 circle tags from slide-in cards.<\/p>\n
Step 2: Trim away the outside ring from each tag with scissors, leaving the balloon \u201cend\u201d on the bottom of the circle.<\/p>\n
Step 3: Hand trim balloon strings from black cardstock.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Adhere pieces together with Tape Runner.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Cut a circle from paper using the smallest CCS circle pattern and the green CCS blade on the outside track, AND with the pattern still in place, cut a circle out from the middle with the red blade on the inside track.<\/p>\n
Step 2: Shift the circle pattern straight over from the inside circle that was already cut, and cut a second inside circle using the red blade again. (see right)<\/p>\n
Step 3: Repeat step 1, but shift the pattern to the other side of the first inside circle. This should result in two separate umbrella shapes.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Hand trim umbrella handles from gray cardstock.<\/p>\n
Step 5: Adhere pieces together with Tape Runner.<\/p>\n
