Use your\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/trimmers\/all-purpose-scissors.html\" target=\"_blank\">All-Purpose Scissors<\/a> to trim them up in a circle to create a button.<\/p>\n<p>Next, on to Act 2:<\/p>\n<p>Skies are bright and sunny and then the picnic ants and spider invade. Well&#8230; not &#8220;real&#8221; ants and spiders, but wouldn&#8217;t these be so cute for summer picnic and spooky Halloween pages?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"arches_border_3.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/creativememories.com/apps/thepages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/arches_border_3.jpg\" alt=\"arches_border_3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Sun&#8221; border, ants, and spiders were made with this\u00a0template using the NEW <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/border-and-punches.html\" target=\"_blank\">Decorative Arcs Border Punch<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"arches_border_1-1.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/creativememories.com/apps/thepages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/arches_border_1-1.jpg\" alt=\"arches_border_1-1.jpg\" width=\"320\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To make this standard &#8220;template&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Step 1:\u00a0 Trim paper color of your choice and with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/trimmers\/12-inch-straight-trimmer.html\" target=\"_blank\">12-inch Straight Trimmer<\/a>, cut a strip 1-15\/16&#8243; by 1&#8243;.<\/p>\n<p>Step 2: Using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/border-and-punches.html\" target=\"_blank\">Decorative Arcs Border Punch<\/a> place paper strip in punch and line up with markings on punch.:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"guide_alignment.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/creativememories.com/apps/thepages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/guide_alignment.jpg\" alt=\"guide_alignment.jpg\" width=\"251\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Firmly press down and punch, then slide paper up to line up with arc pattern on the guide and punch. Repeat process till you&#8217;ve punched along the entire edge of the strip.<\/p>\n<p>Step 3: Rotate the strip 180 degrees, then\u00a0repeat step 2 on opposite side. You should have a border like the white one shown above\u00a0above when you are done.<\/p>\n<p>After you have the template, you will use this for\u00a0reference where you will need to cut with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/trimmers\/all-purpose-scissors.html\" target=\"_blank\">All-Purpose Scissors<\/a>. Repeat Steps 1-3.\u00a0 For ants and spiders, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/decorative\/paper-packs.html\" target=\"_blank\">Black Solid 12&#215;12 Cardstock<\/a> was used.\u00a0 For the &#8220;Sun&#8221; border the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/decorative\/paper-packs.html\" target=\"_blank\">Shades of Bright Designer Cardstock<\/a> was used. Using photos below you will trim the white areas to get desired look for the ants and spiders.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"DSC_0003.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/creativememories.com/apps/thepages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/dsc_0003.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0003.jpg\" width=\"215\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"spider_1.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/creativememories.com/apps/thepages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/spider_1.jpg\" alt=\"spider_1.jpg\" width=\"216\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">For the &#8220;Sun Rays&#8221; use <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/trimmers\/all-purpose-scissors.html\" target=\"_blank\">All-Purpose Scissors<\/a> trim areas away to leave straight &#8220;rays&#8221; of sun look.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"arches_border_4.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/creativememories.com/apps/thepages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/arches_border_4.jpg\" alt=\"arches_border_4.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">The &#8220;clouds&#8221; were made with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/border-and-punches\/word-bubble-punch.html\" target=\"_blank\">Word Bubble punch<\/a>.\u00a0This too is a stand alone punch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">And, ss with any great movie&#8230; it must come to an end with the &#8220;Hero&#8221; saving the day!! The eyes where made by taking the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/border-and-punches\/heart-chain-border-maker-cartridge.html\" target=\"_blank\">Heart Chain Border Maker Cartridge<\/a> and trimming the heart with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/trimmers\/all-purpose-scissors.html\" target=\"_blank\">All-Purpose Scissors<\/a>&gt;.<\/p>\n<p>The American\u00a0shield was made by using the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/trimmers\/all-purpose-scissors.html\" target=\"_blank\">All-Purpose Scissors<\/a> to trim inner pieces away to make an oval shape, then back it with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/decorative\/paper-packs\/white-cardstock-paper-pack.html\" target=\"_blank\">White Solid 12&#215;12 Cardstock<\/a>. Use\u00a0 small circle from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/tools\/custom-cutting-system\/circle-custom-cutting-pattern.html\" target=\"_blank\">Circle Custom Cutting System Patterns <\/a>with the blue blade in the inner track to cut out a blue circle from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativememories.com\/shop-all\/decorative\/paper-packs\/royal-blue-cardstock-paper-pack.html\" target=\"_blank\">Royal Blue Solid12x12 Cardstock<\/a>.
