Ever been all set to spend a chunk of time scrapping, only to be met at your workspace by a horrible case of scrapper’s block? You know – when it seems like all hope is lost as you stare at your piles of photos, papers and tools and come up with nothing?<\/p>\n

Never fear. Simply use page layout sketches as inspiration to create your one-of-a-kind masterpiece or completely scraplift the whole layout (this is perfectly acceptable, and in fact highly encouraged). It’s genius, really. Scraplifting is the bomb!<\/p>\n

After a quick Pinterest search for “page layout sketches”, we stumbled across these great, solid sketches and have created layouts based on them.<\/p>\n

First up is a lovely, simple layout featuring fun papers from the Red, White & Blue Paper Pack<\/a>\u00a0(note: the RWB Paper Pack has sold out, however any fun pattern would work here instead!) The stars were created using the Border Maker with Stars Border Maker Cartridge<\/a>, and we finished with a fun title using Black ABC\/123 Stickers<\/a>. To show where photos could go, we’ve simply dropped black cardstock in.<\/p>\n

\"Creative<\/a><\/p>\n

Next up is this fresh, fun layout featuring papers from the Be Bold & Flourish Paper Pack<\/a>. The 2-Way Corner Rounder<\/a> nicely rounded off the 3″ x 10″ strips and opposing corners on the small squares (four 1″ squares were cut, then opposing corners were rouned and then assembled as shown) to create the flowers and the title was added using Black ABC\/123 Stickers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Our third layout to share is this fun, simple layout featuring yummy papers from the Vintage Paper Pack<\/a> and a title from the Tangerine, Plum and Then Some Slide-In Pack<\/a>. Begin with 2-1\/4″ x 6″\u00a0\u00a0strips of various patterned paper (this is a great way to use up scraps). Next, trim some faux ribbons from solid-colored paper scraps (cut an upside down “V” shape to form the banner end shape) and adhere them under a matted photo. Finally, hand-cut journaling strips from patterned paper or scraps of a slide-in card and adhere.<\/p>\n

CM Advisor Diana Brinsley joined in the fun too! Have a look at this example – she swapped out circles in the designs for simple squares, rotated into diamonds! (It’s totally acceptable and fun to switch components out and make them your very own designs as you go). And, like the layout above, a page title was created by trimming out word art from a Slide-In Card. This layout features papers from the Bright Paper Pack<\/a> and word art from the If You’re Happy & You Know It Slide-In Pack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lastly, CM Advisor Sarah Fitzgerald created this bright layout featuring the Look on the Bright Side Paper Pack<\/a> and Slide-In Pack<\/a>. Layering trimmed scraps from the paper with trimmed components from Slide-In Cards, she’s created a totally fun layout celebrating a special day!<\/p>\n
