We have so many ideas that we hope will inspire you today!<\/p>\n

Welcome back to those of you who have virtually cropped with us before, and a BIG warm welcome to all you newbies!<\/p>\n

If you are new, you might be asking yourself “What is a Virtual Crop, and WHY am I here?” Yesterday’s blog post<\/a> helps describe the event.<\/p>\n

First and foremost—no need to get out of your jammies! \u00a0Just make yourself a cup of tea\/coffee, grab a few photos, along with some scrappy supplies! \u00a0(Oh, and you will DEFINITELY need some chocolate!)<\/p>\n

We will be hosting several challenges right here on the blog, and posting to the events page on Facebook<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Please post your completed pages on the Facebook Events Page<\/a> to qualify for the door prizes that will be given away at the end of each challenge. \u00a0Use the hashtag #CMVirtualCrop. \u00a0If you have any questions, just ask in the comments section of each post either here on the blog or on the Facebook Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So, let’s get started!<\/p>\n

Challenge #1:<\/strong> \u00a0Create a single page layout using more than 8 photos, or create a two-page spread using more than 12 photos. \u00a0Did you capture an event that has a lot of photos to showcase those memories? \u00a0This is a great challenge to get them all on one layout\/spread. Please post an image of your layout on the events page prior to the start \u00a0(11:00 am CST) of the next challenge to qualify for the prize for this challenge.<\/h3>\n

When using multiple photos on a layout, placing your photos into a grid can simplify the process, as well as make it more pleasing to the eye.<\/p>\n

To create this layout, you will need:<\/p>\n

Cake My Day Paper Pack \u00a0US<\/a> CAN<\/a><\/p>\n

Cake My Day Stickers \u00a0US<\/a> CAN<\/a><\/p>\n

Peacock Cardstock \u00a0US<\/a> CAN<\/a><\/p>\n

Border Maker System with Scallop Dot Border Maker Cartridge \u00a0US<\/a> CAN<\/a><\/p>\n

12″ Straight Trimmer \u00a0US<\/a> CAN<\/a><\/p>\n

Foam Squares \u00a0US<\/a> CAN<\/a><\/p>\n

Tape Runner \u00a0US<\/a> CAN<\/a><\/p>\n

Step 1: \u00a0Use the orange paper as the base for this layout.<\/p>\n

Step 2: \u00a0Cut a piece from the blue paper to measure 4″ x 12″. \u00a0Adhere to the top of the layout.<\/p>\n

Step 3: \u00a0Punch a border from the Peacock Cardstock using the Scallop Dot Border Maker Cartridge. \u00a0Cut to measure 1-1\/2″ x 12″. \u00a0Adhere along the bottom edge of the blue paper.<\/p>\n

Step 4: \u00a0Cut a piece of the multi-color lined paper to measure 12″ x 1″. \u00a0Adhere to the top of the Peacock Cardstock.<\/p>\n

Step 5: \u00a0Cut four pieces from the yellow paper to measure 2-3\/4″ x 2-3\/4″.<\/p>\n

Step 6: \u00a0Cut four pieces from the yellow paper to measure 2-3\/4″ x 3-3\/4″. \u00a0Adhere yellow pieces to the layout.<\/p>\n

Step 7: \u00a0Adhere four photos that measure 2-1\/2″ x 2-1\/2″, and four photos that measure 2-1\/2″ x 3-1\/2″ to the yellow pieces.<\/p>\n

Step 8: \u00a0Adhere stickers to the layout, tucking the pinwheel stickers under the paper strips, and using foam squares on the title stickers for dimension.<\/p>\n

Step 9: \u00a0Journal using Black Dual Tip Pen.<\/p>\n

12″ Straight Trimmer \u00a0US<\/a> CAN<\/a><\/p>\n

Use a piece of The Daily Docket patterned paper for the base of this layout. Take two pieces of coordinating patterned paper from the same paper pack and cut one of them into nine squares measuring 3-3\/8\u201d and the other into nine squares measuring 3-1\/4\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

Print nine photos measuring 3\u201d X 3\u201d and adhere them to the square mats created using the Daily Docket patterned papers. <\/span><\/p>\n

When arranging the square photos on your layout keep in mind that you want to add embellishments and a title somewhere so if there is a void space in one of your photos be strategic about where you put that photo so that it can be used as the space to stick an embellishment. <\/span><\/p>\n

For this layout I created 3 little embellishment clusters and on one of them used the Mint and Gold ABC\/123s to create a title. I also used the Brown Pen to make note of the day these photos were taken.<\/span><\/p>\n
