StoryBook Creator 4.0 Software Update
StoryBook Creator 4.0 is occasionally updated to correct bugs and improve your user experience. As of Dec. 18, 2012, a software update with the following changes will be available:

• NEW! Multiple blank pages can be added to a project. In the Pages panel, hover over a page, and then click the drop-down arrow that appears on the right. Choose Insert one or more blank pages. If the project type allows for additional pages to be inserted, the number of available pages will be displayed. Enter the desired number of pages and click OK. The pages will be inserted before the selected page. NOTE: If the project type does not allow for additional pages, an appropriate message will be displayed.
• NEW! You can now select different fonts for the date number and Notes text within calendar cells. Right-click on the calendar element and choose Format calendar ... Select Date style on the left. There are now sections for titles and notes that allow font, font size, font color, font formatting and justification to be defined for both.
• NEW! Some software changes have been implemented to decrease the number of memory-usage errors being experienced by users. The pages in the background will temporarily be replaced with the message “Loading page” during the ordering, exporting and printing processes.
• FIXED! An issue causing software delays when a user has a large number of fonts installed as shapes has been corrected.
• FIXED! An issue causing the software to lock up temporarily if the user tries to show the content selector dialog while a blank CD is in the drive has been corrected.
• FIXED! An issue that caused images to be repositioned within frames when edits to the page are made has been corrected.
• FIXED! An error that occurred when Feb. 29 events were added to a non-leap year calendar has been corrected.

To download and install this update to StoryBook Creator 4.0 Software, follow the instructions below:

1. Close StoryBook Creator 4.0.
2. If you originally installed StoryBook Creator 4.0 from the DVD, please do the following (if you originally installed the download version of StoryBook Creator 4.0 skip to step 3 below):
   • Open My Computer and go to C:\Program Files\Creative Memories\StoryBook Creator 4.0.
   • Open the Kits folder. If this folder contains the free artwork packages that were included with your software purchase, copy these files and paste them into your default location for your imported kits. You do not need to copy/paste the Common, Corners, Cutouts, Edge Cutters, Frames and Mats, Geometric, or Nature kits. [Unless you have modified the default location for imported kits, they’re installed to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Creative Memories Art Kits.]
   • Open the default location for imported kits, and confirm that the packages now appear in that folder.
   • Once you confirm the packages were correctly installed to the default location for imported kits, delete them from the Kits folder.
   • Proceed to step 3 below.
3. Click here to start the download.
4. When prompted, do one of the following:
   1. To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
   2. To download the update to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save.
      NOTE: If you choose this option, you will have to browse to the SBC4.0UpdateSetup.exe file that you saved and run it in order to install the update. Simply downloading this file will not update StoryBook Creator 4.0. If your browser does not display a dialog prompt when you click on the link, try right-clicking the link and selecting either Open or Save Target As....

StoryBook Creator 4.0 Uploader Update
Upon opening StoryBook Creator 4.0, you may be prompted to complete a mandatory update of the StoryBook Creator Uploader. Follow the onscreen instructions for updating the Uploader.
