Memory Manager 4.0 Software Update
Memory Manager 4.0 is occasionally updated to correct bugs and improve your user experience. As of Feb. 13, 2013, a software update to version 4.1.4780.29438 with the following changes will be available:

• NEW! There’s now a user setting that allows you to select whether facial recognition should automatically be run when importing images (rather than needing to manually select this option each time you import). To enable this feature go to Help > Options > Import. In the Actions on import section check the box in front of Run facial recognition on the imported images.
• FIXED! Memory error issues that could prevent users from importing large images have been corrected.
• FIXED! Bugs that caused errors when entering dates in the item properties panel have been corrected.
• FIXED! An issue that sometimes resulted in an initial crop size that did not match the default crop ratio has been corrected.
• FIXED! When an image is auto-rotated on import, the height and width pixel dimensions are now in the correct positions.
• FIXED! Several issues with memory and thumbnail creation have been corrected, which will result in improved performance in the media library viewer when the software creates image thumbnails.
• FIXED! Issues with photo and journal note placement when using the Album Planner view have been corrected.
• FIXED! A bug that was causing issues with the slider controls in the Sharpen filter has been corrected.
• RESTORED! The Image Protection feature in Memory Manager 4.0 has been restored to how it functioned in Memory Manager 3.0. When “Enable revision management” is checked in Help > Options, the first time you save edits to an original file you will be prompted to choose to save a new revision or overwrite the original image file with your changes. When “Enable revision management” is not checked, a second version of the original will be saved and “(Edited)” will be appended to the end of the image name.

To download and install this update to Memory Manager 4.0 Software, follow the instructions below:

1. Close Memory Manager 4.0.
2. Click here to start the download.
3. When prompted, do one of the following:

• To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
• To download the update to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save.

NOTE: If you choose this option, you will have to browse to the MM_4.0_Setup.exe file that was saved during this process and run it in order to install the update. Simply downloading this file will not update Memory Manager 4.0. If your browser does not display a dialog prompt when you click on the link, try right-clicking the link and selecting either Open or Save Target As....
